What contingency plans does the Central Monitoring Station have in the event of telephone problems?

HSMC is serviced by a dedicated T1.5 PRI fiber-optic communication network and underground conduit, which houses all telephone wires and critical cabling to ensure extra safety.  We have “Quality and Line Assurance” services through our carrier, which automatically selects alternate network paths at the hint of any telephone line problems.  This program provides instant line-outage notification and emergency switchover capabilities, which are necessary safeguards during emergency situations.
